Rhythm Fasting ("we", "our", or "the app") is an intermittent fasting timer and health tracking application developed by Piyush Ahuja. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
2. Information We Collect
Rhythm Fasting is designed with privacy in mind. Most of your health and fasting data is stored locally on your device. However, we use third-party services for advertising and analytics that may collect certain information.
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
• Fasting session history (start/end times, duration)
• Weight log entries
• Water intake records
• User profile information (name, age, height, weight, gender) entered during onboarding
• Fasting plan preferences and weekly schedule
• App settings and preferences
3. How We Use Your Information
All health and fasting data you enter is used solely to provide the app's functionality — tracking your fasting sessions, displaying statistics, logging weight and water intake, and personalizing your experience. This health data never leaves your device unless you manually export it.
4. Data Storage & Security
All core fasting and health data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We do not use cloud databases to store your personal health data. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.
5. Third-Party Services & Advertising
The app uses the following third-party services which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:
• Google AdMob — We use AdMob to display advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's IP address, Advertising ID, and usage data to show personalized ads and perform analytics.
• Expo / EAS — Used for app updates and technical infrastructure. No personal health data is shared.
• Google Firebase — Used for crash reporting and app analytics. No personally identifiable health data is shared.
• Expo Notifications — Used for local fasting reminders. Notification data stays on your device.
6. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
• Notifications — To alert you when fasting/eating windows start or end.
• Background Execution — To keep the fasting timer running accurately.
These permissions are used solely for core functionality.
7. Children's Privacy
Rhythm Fasting is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
